The pregnant girlfriend of Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has escaped injury after a car crash in Istanbul, Turkey. Here is what we know so far.

How the crash unfolded. According to the agency, Ladewig was driving an SUV when she entered a bend and collided with a light commercial vehicle. Some reports add that she lost control and her SUV then hit another SUV coming from the opposite direction, so that two SUVs and a light commercial vehicle were involved. Reports differ slightly on the exact sequence of events, and no official explanation of the cause has been given. All three vehicles were damaged.

Because of her advanced pregnancy, Ladewig went to a private hospital in the Maslak area of Istanbul's Sariyer district for precautionary checks.
