Nicki Minaj Flew in on Air Force One and Took the Stage at Trump's Michigan Rally

Nicki Minaj travelled to Michigan with Donald Trump on Sunday, walked onstage at his rally in Port Huron and told the crowd she would support him "forever and ever". She added that if he ran again, she would back him again, according to Fox News. Fox also notes that the 22nd Amendment bars a third term.

The rally was for Mike Rogers, the Republican running for US Senate, and John James, the Republican candidate for governor, with the midterms on 3 November. Minaj wore a gold Gucci suit and led the crowd in chanting Trump's name and the names of the candidates.

The BBC, as relayed by The Business Standard, reports she called the vote a "major turning point for our country". She also said Trump had changed the mood of the country and given people a brighter future to look forward to.

She then moved onto children and gender. She told the crowd she did not want children "bombarded with sex changes" and wanted them left out of it, per Open Magazine's report of her speech.

Trump introduced her as the queen of rap and joked that she overshadows him and that he was angry about it. Before bringing her up, he made a remark about her figure that went on to be one of the most shared moments of the rally. Outlets quote the exact words slightly differently, so we are not repeating them here. After her speech he said she understood the movement and was smart.

Steven Cheung, the White House communications director, also posted a video from Air Force One with Minaj and joked that they had found the new press secretary. HotNewHipHop describes it as a joke, not an appointment, and says she replied with an emoji.
